In Progress
Mentioned a few posts back (Let It Begin) that I am working on a new project that I have been visualizing for a long time, here is a screengrab from an edit session of last night's photo shoot.
Last night's subject is a very cool artist in his own right - jToddo - you really should check out his work. jToddO's site. He really brings some incredible characters to life in his work, rad dude to boot.
Also, looks like I am going to have some photos displayed in the heart of the Haight here soon. More details on that soon.PEACE to you all!

The Process
I have been working on a very major blog redesign for the last few days, I am going to be moving over to a Wordpress that will be hosted on my own servers so I can have a lot more flexibility.
I have pretty much finished all the coding and content conversion, now I am working on the graphic layout. I did a little photoshoot yesterday afternoon for what is going to be the header image. Here is a screenshot from the editing process, with a little image of Amma thrown in the corner, she watches over me while I work. I know - I'm a hippie.PEACE to you all!

Let It Begin
The image below is the start of a series I have been visualizing for a while now. All the pieces are in place, I think, to get my idea off the ground. The details of the project are going to be kept hush hush, but this first light test got me pretty excited - a long ways to go, but a great first step.
Of course, for the most part I am a purist and there is no photoshop manipulation, everything was done on camera. The actual series will all be medium format, not sure black and white or color yet.PEACE to you all!

Moon a la Beck
Autumn De Wilde comes to mind on this one, although I am definitely not comparing myself to her work, she's on another level. But the color just feels like her style. Though it's a digital image, as always no photoshop.PEACE to you all!

Life's a Dream
Magera: "It's a little morbid."
Me: "Well, that's the point."
Here is a self portrait I whipped up last night. Today, aside from being MLK day (get out and serve!), also happens to be the 200 year anniversary of the birth of Edgar Allan Poe. I figured this image would be appropriate to mark such an occasion.PEACE to you all!

Dawn of a new era.
So I just got home from Hawaii late last night, trying to get back in the groove of things in SF and getting used to the chill!I developed about 12 rolls of film at Rainbow Photo while out of town, so I have lots of scanning to do. BTW, if you are ever in Hawaii, don't use Rainbow Photo! They ruined one of my rolls and scratched all the others, on top of that they don't even do push/pull processing. Unfortunately, I think they are the only lab on the island who does E6 processing.
The image below was created on November 4th, 2008 - shortly after I casted my ballot for our new president. So many more scans to come...
PEACE to you all!
